Don’t think that you must have a license or a car to compete in events. We regularly go karting at either Scotkart (Clydebank & Cambuslang) or Xtreme Karting (Falkirk).
You can choose from informal practice sessions to inter-club championships, competing against Scottish Elises, the Officer Training Corps and the University Air Squadron.

GUMSC usually organise between 4 and 6 karting nights a year but if you’re a karting nut then stick a post in the forum. There’s always people looking to meet up just for karting so don’t let the other events put you off. Also, you don’t have to be a karting expert to come along either. Practice seesions are an excellent way to test and improve your driving skills.
Oh, and karting nights count towards the GUMSC Championship just like any other event!
