Table Top Rallies are used for training purposes to introduce newbies to Navigational Rallies.  This is done on a pub night.  You are given a map and a set of clues.  Your team must plot the correct route on the map by following the clues given.  This gives you experience of what the clues will be like in a real Nav Rally and how to read a map.  Of course, we’ll give you tips and advice during the exercise so you’re well prepared for your first real Nav.
Occasionally we will organise a car prep night in conjunction with other clubs.  This is were members bring their cars to a venue to show others what they have done to their wheels.  These sessions are great for asking questions and finding out how to do things if you’re into a bit car diy.  You’ll also be shown how to prepare a car for a road rally such as a Nav or Scatter.
GUMSC meets every Tuesday night at 8pm in the GUU Beer Bar.  Come and join us for some informal banter!
Most pub nights are just that, but occasionally we organise something special to fill the gaps between events:
A pub crawl with a twist!  Members are given a map of the local area, a list of clues and a list of pubs.  The team who visits the most pubs and solves the most clues wins!  Proof of visiting each pub (and buying a drink!) are required so a camera phone is useful.  It’s a great way to get to know the West End of Glasgow and see some of the lesser known pubs in the area.
